Shannen Yee, LMFT Associate #206203, supervised by Julia M. Wesley LMFT-S # 201593
Welcome to Yee Therapy, an existential psychotherapy practice based in Corpus Christi and available virtually throughout Texas. I work with couples, adults, and teens who are ready to understand their relationships, their emotions, and the deeper patterns shaping their lives.
Many of the people I meet are thoughtful, capable, and introspective - individuals who have carried a lot, often quietly, and are now seeking clarity, meaning, and genuine change. They’ve done well in many areas of life, yet old relational wounds or inherited patterns still weigh heavily.
I believe in your ability to grow, to reconcile, and to reclaim joy. Sometimes it’s hardest to see what’s in front of us. Let me be your mirror.

Therapy with Shannen
Blending effective client-centered existential and experiential interventions, I help you resolve conflict, unpack emotional burdens, and discover joy. I use relational talk-therapy methods to reflect your truest perceptions. You could say my approach is "part science - all human".
I help couples renew love after betrayal, addiction, or disconnection. Parents find new ways of raising oppositional, isolated, or suicidal teens and anyone desiring to discover authentic living. My role is an attuned companion, helping you discover stability, new outcomes, and to make meaningful connections in your life.
My worldview is shaped by the moments in life that words fail to express - the good and the bad. I use my responsiveness, intuition, and our connection to strengthen your internal voice and discover meaning.
About the therapy
I bring an attuned energy to the therapy. To me, life is the best when we are in the flow of our individual purpose and creativity with a sense of joy and excitement. More information about me and my approach is found here.
Therapy Services
Therapy for families and couples
My work with couples and families is relational and experiential. We use the reactions in the room to explore the problem. We build empathy, emotional connection, and build trust and boundaries.
Focusing honest conversations and using evidence-based family focused interventions on emotional connection, empathetic communication, and authentic self-expression, we challenge the prior status quo and make breakthroughs. By altering patterns we create a more harmonious life where you feel that you belong and can sustain and thrive.
Therapy for adolescents
I am especially honored to work with teens and young women who are struggling to make sense of their identities, are suffering from perfectionism, or experiencing emotional distress including suicidality. Our sessions will explore their worldview with relational exercises that have them encouraged when they leave the consulting room.
Therapy for individuals
If you’ve been desiring greater self-awareness and a change in perspective, I would be honored to work alongside you, bringing my belief in your success and growth to our sessions. Changing the way you feel and think is possible. Therapy with me is about your transcendent qualities but also looks at your interactional patterns and ways of daily functioning.
