Meet Shannen, a Texas Therapist
My approach is grounded in relational and depth-oriented psychotherapy, informed by humanistic psychology and family systems theory. I view symptoms like anxiety, depression, and relational distress not as pathology, but as meaningful responses to valid life experience.
In our work together, the relationship we build becomes the foundation for change. Therapy is a space to notice patterns, explore deeply held beliefs, clarify what matters to you, and begin to relate differently to yourself and to others.
I’m drawn to this work by a genuine interest in the complexity of people and relationships, and a desire to live a life engaged with the human experience. Outside of therapy, I enjoy reading novels, watching films & TV, walking with my son and husband, and cooking along with Julia Child’s The French Chef—bon appétit!
