Meet Shannen
Shannen Yee is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate in Texas, supervised by LMFT-S Julia Wesley. She holds a BA in English Literature from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth, 2022 and an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Massachusetts Global, 2025. Her approach to psychotherapy is rooted in experiential, person-centered, and existential therapy models. These models adopt a non-pathologizing approach which understands symptoms of anxiety, depression, and disordered behaviors as rooted in the human experience — by exploring thoughts, feelings, and attitudes in a place of compassionate understanding the person becomes free to be real — and healing begins. Shannen is open to working with clients of all walks of life. She particularly enjoys working with teens — real recognize real, as they say. She has experience working with depression, anxiety, addiction, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder and is open to working with clients experiencing grief and obsessive or compulsive tendencies.
Shannen sees clients virtually throughout Texas. Contact her today to connect.
